Dance Mechanix travelled to Long Beach, NJ to compete in the True Talent Nationals.  Our soloist placed 3rd overall in the junior novice division.  National champion was awarded to our soloist who finished 1st overall in the teen novice division while our other teen soloist finished in 3rd place and received a judge’s award.   In the intermediate teen division, our soloist bested over 40 other routines to finish in 3rd place and received a judge’s award.  Our duo dancers was able to capture 5th place as well as a judge’s award in the intermediate teen division.  Our small group finished in 1st place in the junior novice division and was crowded national champions.  In the teen novice small group division, our dancers placed 3rd overall.  Our large group captured 1st place in the junior novice division and was invited to compete in the tournament of talent where they finished in 2nd place.

In the World Dance Championship, it was quite an impressive fest for both our teen and senior small group to finish as a finalist in the top 5.

Dance Mechanix dancers were grateful to be able to honor and pay respect to those that served our country in the Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day parade.

Our soloists had a great day at the Revolution Dance Competition.  Our soloist in level 1 9-11 age division took home 2nd place.  While our level 1 soloists grabbed 1st and 2nd place in the 12-14 age division.  Our senior soloists finished 1st, 2nd & 3rd in level 1 15-19 age division.  One of our age 12-14 small group for the first time received a golden ticket invitation to compete in the World Dance Championship in July. 

In June, we joined in on some community fun with performances at the Great Neck Gatsby Fest.

Dance Mechanix competed in the Legend Dance Competition where our dancers were winner of various accolades.  Our highlights included our teen soloists taking 1st and 3rd place in the celebrity division as well as earning the "Professionalism" judge's award.  In the icon division our teen soloist took home 1st place and also received the "Intensity" judge's award, while our senior soloist finished 3rd place overall.  Our junior soloist finished in 2nd place in the celebrity division where there were over 30 entries.  Teen small group placed 1st in the celebrity division.  Our junior small group placed 1st overall and also qualified for the celebrity division dance off finals where they received the runners-up trophy.  Our junior large group not only placed 1st in the celebrity division but were honored to have received the IDA "Making The Impact" judge's choice award which was given to only one routine in the entire competition.  In addition, our teen and senior soloists participated in the title competition where they each won Miss Teen Celebrity and Miss Senior Icon.

Our dancers kicked off the season at Believe National Talent Competition.  Some of the highlights included our soloists taking home 1st place in level 1 in both 12-14 and 15-19 age division as well as earning themselves scholarships to the Discovery Model and Talent Expo in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Small group in level 1 12-14 age division also placed 1st overall.  In the level 1 9-11 age division, our soloist finished in 3rd place overall.  Our age 12-14 large group and age 15-19 small group were each crowned regional champions, winners of special judge's awards and received golden ticket invitations to compete in the World Dance Championship in July.  

At the True Talent Dance Competition our teen small group bested their field and placed 1st overall in the novice category.  Dance Mechanix was also the recipient of the coveted ADCC Studio of Excellence award.
